Trasylol is a blood clotting medication, once regularly used during heart surgery to prevent bleeding. In November of 2007 though, Bayer AG suspended sales of Trasylol at the request of the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.

In requesting this suspension, the FDA explained that studies had shown Trasylol could increase the risk of kidney damage or failure, strokes and heart attacks. Patients who had been administered Trasylol also faced elevated risk of death, as compared to those who received other blood clotting medications.

Unfortunately, the Trasylol suspension did not come in time to prevent injuries to many trusting patients. If Bayer AG had issued a recall of Trasylol earlier, they may have been able to prevent the injury or death of thousands of people. At the Bohrer Law Firm, we believe that the drug companies should be held accountable for their actions.

If you or someone you love has been injured or killed after the administration of Trasylol, we can effectively represent you. Call our offices today to discuss your potential legal claims with a lawyer who has extensive experience handling defective drug cases and class action lawsuits.
